(via Parallel Parking Tips - How to Parallel Park Diagram
I had || parking down to a science in my old SUV, but I bought a tiny commuter car to save on gas and, theoretically, to park easier now that I have to park on the street at my new place. Paradoxically, I can’t park this car to save my life. I don’t know the correct angles to aim the back of the car at the curb, and since my car is so small, lining it up with the car in front of me leaves a foot between me and the curb. Which is fine I suppose, I’m not sticking out further than the myriad of Land Rovers in my aging yuppie neighborhood, but my perfectionist streak won’t stand for it. Perhaps my Day of (no) Labour will be spent practicing this parking algorithm. (I’ll apply an algorithm to almost anything at this point — the addiction of the applied mathematician).
